Here is a nice used power steering pump bracket for a Ford engine. This bracket was purchased from Robert Yates Racing and is in top shape. This bracket is made from billet aluminum and lightened on the back to reduce weight. It has a black anodized coating to resist corrosion. It wears the RYR part number 18-A22-1103 engraved in the back. This is designed to mount the Saginaw style power steering pumps that are commonly used on race vehicles and can also be found on many small block Chevy engines from the factory. Upgrading to a Saginaw style pump is a great way to reduce weight and improve your steering. Many companies including Lee, Sweet Mfg., and CJR manufacture aftermarket pumps with aluminum bodies if you really want to go lightweight.

Using a system like this also allows you to plumb the fluid reservoir away from the engine and through a cooler for increased system performance. These setups install and function on any Ford engine and are a great improvement over what Ford uses on their factory vehicles. This bracket is a key part to installing one of these setups on a small Ford engine. Upgrading a power steering system is a must for any vintage vehicle like a Ford Mustang, Torino or Cougar. We have also seen these installed in newer Fords like Ford F150 Trucks or Bronco from the 80s & 90s and Mustang, Cougar, and Thunderbird of the same era. These machined aluminum brackets sell for around $75 new. Buy it here and save! You will receive one bracket in either black or silver depending on current inventory.
