This is a professional type heat shrink tubing that features a built in adhesive lining that melts and firmly bonds to the wiring when the tubing is heated.  This adhesive layer provides a water tight seal that is makes it great for marine applications as well as demanding automotive conditions.  This type of premium polyolefin heat shrink tubing is used in NASCAR and other forms of racing as well as professional repairs done by automotive dealerships around the world.  This is not like the cheap "plastic" type shrink tube sold in most auto parts stores or your local department store.  

We offer this tubing in a variety of diameters.  The diameter of the tubing is the measurement of the tubing BEFORE shrinking.  The tubing shrinks down to as much as 1/3 of its stated size.  We recommend that you select a tube size that is approximately twice the size of the connection that you are sealing.  This will provide the best results after shrinking.  For wire harness repairs we recommend using this product with the non-insulated butt connectors available on our site.  A repair made with a properly crimped butt connector and a piece of polyolefin shrink tubing makes a professional repair that is weather proof and will last the life of your vehicle.
