This is the absolute best water pump on the market for a 289, 302, 351W, or 351 SVO type Small Block Ford engine. (This pump can also be adapted to 351C engines with some minor modifications to the timing cover, or by adding a steel cover from a standard 302-351 waterpump. Contact us and we can assist with tech info on the installation of this pump on a 351C engine.) This pump assembly is extremely expensive to buy new. The current cost for the pump assembly that we are offering is in this listing is $585 for the housing (part# M-8501-R352) plus $295 for the pump (part# M-8501-R351). That is nearly $900 to buy new! As you can see, this pump assembly has a replaceable pump head that does not require you to remove the pump housing from the engine for servicing. These are the choice of the major Ford race teams. They are designed for conventional or O-ring seals and will bolt directly to a Ford Robert Yates belt drive system cover or a standard small block timing cover. This high flow water pump is a popular choice of many sprint car teams as well. When you rely on your engine and want to keep it cool, this is the best pump you can buy. This is a rare chance to get your hand on one of these without the huge $750 investment. We are selling the whole pump assembly for less than the cost of the pump head alone from Ford Racing. Because you can rebuild these, the housings are rarely sold.
